April 6, 2013

Central Congregational Church – 2676 Clairmont Rd. NE, Atlanta, GA 30329

Sexual addiction and problematic sexual behavior are increasingly common areas of focus in therapy.  Group therapy provides powerful tools for addressing these issues with resources which can go beyond individual treatment and twelve-step groups.  This workshop will help therapists to deepen their understanding of sexual addiction and its manifestations, and expand their ability to provide effective group treatment to sexually addicted clients.

In his practice, Steve enjoys working with psychological and emotional difficulties, addiction and recovery, with individuals, couples, and groups.  He has lectured and provided training, supervision, and consultation, helping people address compulsion and freedom in the areas of sex, work, relationships, and spirituality.  He assists individuals seeking greater health, creativity, and thriving.  Steve is a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist, and a CSAT Approved Supervisor for therapists training in sexual addiction treatment.  He is a clinical supervisor at Metropolitan Counseling Services low cost clinic, and a consultant to the Dual Addiction program at Talbott Recovery Campus.  In addition to his work, Steve’s passions include laughing with his wife and kids, playing fiddle in a folk band, and eating.
